Jenna is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Ardis Lo, MS, LPC-S, and National Certified Counselor. Jenna earned her Master of Science in Counseling at Southern Methodist University, where she specialized in play therapy, adolescent activity therapy, and addiction. While working at SMU’s Center for Family Counseling, Jenna’s experiences included working with pre-adolescents, adolescents, parents, and adults presenting a diverse range of concerns like anxiety, suicidal ideation, ADHD, and perfectionism. Her experience at Mosaic Family Services gave her the privilege to serve survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking across the lifespan, supporting clients with issues related to childhood trauma, sexual abuse, poverty, and depression. Jenna continues to serve clients of all ages and is working towards becoming a Registered Play Therapist.

Jenna believes that warmth, humor, and genuineness are the pillars to creating a supportive space for personal growth. Jenna’s approach as a counselor is imbued with creativity and compassion, tailoring each session to meet clients where they are. She strives to help clients identify and connect with the meaning they attach to their life experiences, recognize their own strengths, and create personal goals that aid in the healing journey. Her goal is to provide an accepting space for clients to feel comfortable making mistakes and processing life’s challenges.

When she isn’t in the counseling room, Jenna enjoys drawing, cooking, watching horror movies, and spending time with friends and family (as well as her cat, Anchovy!).
