Licensed Professional Counselor Mary is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Mary earned her Master of Science degree in Counseling from Southern Methodist University, where she specialized in Activity Therapy, Group Counseling, Family Therapy, and Child-Parent Relationship Training. She is also trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction for Teens and Child Centered Play Therapy. At SMU’s Centers for Family Counseling at Plano and Frisco ISD, Mary worked as lead counselor, with at-risk children and adolescents, as well as adults and families seeking counseling for a wide range of concerns, such as anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. Mary believes growth and personal change happens within a warm, non-judgmental, and supportive relationship. By providing you with this type of therapeutic relationship, Mary walks alongside you as you gain awareness and insights enabling you to better navigate life’s challenges. Mary incorporates mindfulness and therapeutic activities specific to your unique needs and goals. In her free time, Mary enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, dog, and three cats.
