Meghan is a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern under the supervision of Brandy Schumann, Ph.D. She earned her Masters degree in Counseling from Southern Methodist University where she received specialty training in Play Therapy, Activity Therapy, Group Therapy, and Marriage and Family Therapy. There, Meghan worked with children, adolescents, and adults seeking counseling for a variety of challenges. In addition, Meghan facilitated a social skills and teambuilding group for young adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Most recently, she has been working at Momentous Institute, working primarily with adolescents from a high-risk population using experiential therapeutic activities while incorporating a mindfulness practice. Meghan also had the opportunity to partake in a cultural immersion play therapy experience working directly with Australian children in need.
Meghan believes that all individuals have arrived at where they are today due to a variety of unique experiences and influences. She believes all individuals possess the strength and buoyancy to grow, change, and live their best life. Meghan will work together with you to provide a warm, safe, accepting environment to help overcome these challenges and foster fulfillment.
